Easy breezy

One of the things that I've found has been particularly fun about being an (albeit, inconsistent) blogger has been exploring and seeking out great little spots in my 'hood. While San Francisco appropriately receives regular recognition, its less aclaimed neighbor, Oakland, doesn't always get enough credit.

Susy and I took some time this afternoon to explore Preservation Park in downtown Oakland. I'm not sure what it was - perhaps the overcast skies, lush foliage, or overall quiet calm that allowed for some photo magic today. It's been a lot of fun having someone to exchange photos with & giggle over ridiculous bloopers.

I'm off to Glendale/LA tomorrow for my first work trip of 2016. Wish me luck! I think I've already forgotten how to pack for work travel.

No excuses

I've realized that I can't even come up with reasonable excuses for my absences these days. Between juggling my job, travel, lack of consistent schedule, shorter daylight hours, etc. - posting really becomes a challenge. This upcoming year will likely be no different, but we can always hope! Plus, I'm more active on my Instagram account than I am here, so feel free to follow me there!

I've been really enjoying the time off that I've had the last few weeks. The holidays are the perfect time to relax and rejuvenate, and I've been doing exactly that. Susy and I got together yesterday for a much-delayed photo meetup and it was fun to bring my "rusty" camera out of hiding. It's been a chilly and cloudy winter, but with the much-needed rain in CA, its hard to have any complaints...
