It's been a gloomy, cloudy weekend, but that hasn't stopped me from being in a great mood. After a grueling 6-day work trip,I'm finally able to relax and unwind. I got together with my blogger bud Susy for another round of photos this morning. Always a good time.
I was feeling in the mood for casual comfy clothing, so this Lucky Brand chambray top with intentional paint splatters fit the bill. While I usually wouldn't describe my style as either artsy, grunge, or Western, this chambray has somehow managed to survive many a closet cleanse.
This Philosophy faux leather pencil skirt was a recent steal from eBay and I was more than happy to pair it with the Stuart Weitzman "Catalan" leopard espadrilles that don't get worn nearly enough. Both are comfy and chic, perfect for a lazy Saturday morning...

Camel & Black
Ahhh... working from home. While I sure do travel a lot for work, I absolutely love the days when I'm working from home. Is there anything better than working on your laptop in PJ's and watching your pet perform crazy antics in your living room?
I also found the time to meet up with my local blogger buddy Susy to take some photos in downtown Oakland. There are so many great little spots still left to be explored.
Wearing: Citizens of Humanity "Thompson" jeans, Signorelli graphic tee, Alternativa sandals (via Yoox), and George Rech bag (via Yoox, no longer available), RAEN "Volant" cateye sunglasses.

Pink & Leopard
I spent a good chunk of my day organizing my closet yesterday. No matter how organized it might be, it always feels like there could be a better way to make the things I wear the most more accessible. Or maybe that's just my OCD talking ;)
Either way, given my limited closet space, I try to bring the most seasonable items to the front and store away out-of-season clothing. The challenge comes in the fact that with the amount of travel I do, the weather can swing drastically depending on where I'm headed.
So what's a girl to do? I always keep my sleeveless and short-sleeved work tops within close reach, as these get layered under blazers and cardigans pretty much year around, regardless of location. While an overcoat might be necessary in cold climates, it's almost a given that office buildings will be sweltering, so a light layer with a sleeveless top is usually the way to go.
I had a chance to meet up with a friend this morning, so I felt something cozy but stylish was in order.
Wearing: JOA "Pretty in Pink" sweater, 7 for all Mankind Gwenevere jeans (old), Schutz Amanda peeptoe booties, DKNY Bryant Park round top zip crossbody, Spy Bowery sunglasses in tortoise.
